Patient, professional and fun-loving – our Instructors are eager to introduce you to the joys of scuba diving! Whether it’s your very first time or your hundredth dive, our crew are there to make your experience easy and enjoyable!
In their ‘past lives’ all of our instructors had very different careers, from Accountant to BMX engineer, but have all seen the light and made a life-style choice. What better office to have than the Great Barrier Reef?
It’s our pleasure to introduce you to:
Rebecca Lumby: Supervisor and Instructor from Sydney. Beck has been diving for many years and can share many great dive stories. One of her favourite experiences: the sardine run in Mozambique.
Richard Goodwin: From the UK, Richard is HABA’s main full-time Instructor, so there’s a good chance you’ll meet him on the boat or sometimes on the Port Douglas bus run!
Nick Buttenshaw: A natural public speaker and walking encyclopedia, Nick gives a great Marine Brief! He is also an Instructor and our bus driver from Cairns.
Go Kano: Dive Instructor and long time resident is originally from Japan. With 17 years experience as an Instructor he has made the Far North home for the past 14 years.
Malin Widenberg: Our Swiss Instructor, experienced in diving cold Scandinavian waters, introduces diving to all ages and abilities with fun and safety - and she is fluent in four other languages!
