Our Divemasters always claim they have the best job on the boat, and it’s true! Responsible for guiding the certified divers, our DM’s make as many as three dives a day, showing divers where all the great fish hang out and providing them with a safe dive profile to follow. A DM’s job never ends; from preparing your dive gear to pre-dive briefings, guiding the dives and pumping tanks in between, they are constantly on the go!
Rory Kelliher: works part-time for Haba on his days off from the army, hence his nickname of “Sarge.” Rory is a Supervisor as well as DM and underwater photographer… a man of many talents!
Marta Espinheira: Our Brasilian DM and student in Master of Tourism (Eco) at JCU, will share with you her wealth of experience travelling and diving the world: So.Africa, Vietnam, Fiji and both coasts of Australia.
Heather Clark: Dutch/ Canadian, has been a DM for eight years now and will finally make the step to Instructor this November. “I came to Australia with one goal: to live in Port Douglas and work on a dive boat… I’m loving it!”
