Barracuda anyone? Two Tone is teeming with them!
Slightly more challenging than other sites such as Ayers Rock or Bash, this stunning site is bound to become one of your favourites. Four long finger-like bommies are separated by narrow channels that lead into the backside of Two Tone, also known as the Sandbox. It’s a rare occasion when divers don’t spot scouting reef sharks or large schools of Barracudas. Ranging in size from 60 cm to well over a metre with razor sharp teethe, these stealthy fish are sure to get your heart pounding!
Often visited in the afternoon when tides are changing, Two Tone’s conditions make you appreciate the expertise of your Dive master even more. A moderate current regularly sweeps past the outer point of Two Tone, allowing divers to drift for a while without the effort of swimming. Certain channels that were passable at the beginning of your dive may become too shallow to cross on the way back. Visibility may change suddenly as you round a corner, but luckily your DM knows all the short cuts and back alleys of this spectacular coral maze!
With most of Two Tone’s beauty accessible around 14 metres or shallower, this is the ideal spot for your third dive of the day.
